THE GOD HEAD
There is one true God eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are co-existent, co-eternal and co-equal. God is Spirit- Infinite, eternal, uncreated and unchangeable in His being and attributes. He is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent. (John 4:24; Ps. 102: 25-27; Gen 1:1:26;Heb 1:1-3)
- GOD THE FATHER: is the Creator of heaven and earth and the sustainer of all things. In a creative sense, He is the Father of all but only those who have received Jesus Christ can be called His children in a redemptive sense. (John1:12,13;8:41-44;17:3;Acts 17:28 )
- GOD THE SON: is the son of God in a unique sense and true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and was without sin. He was the vicarious sacrifice for the sin of all kind through His death on the cross according to the scripture. He rose from the dead in His own glorified body, ascended into heaven, where he sits at the right hand of God the Father until His enemies become His footstool. He is now our Priests and Advocate, the Head of His body, the church. (John 14:16,17,26;16:8; Acts 13:2,4:1; Eph4:30)
- GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT: Convicts men of sin righteousness and judgement, regenerates the sinner and unites him to Jesus Christ in faith. He brings about the new birth, and dwells within the believers, guides, instructs and empowers him for godly living and services. He is therefore, a gift of God to the church. He is God yet not an impressional force, nor a mere principle or influence, but possesses.
THE SCRIPTURES
Both old and new testaments are the written word of God inspired without error in the original writings, and complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. The Bible is the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. (II Tim3:16, II Pet 1;20,21 )
MAN
Has been created equally and in the image and likeness of God, irrespective of race, ethnicity, color, gender, age, language, culture or class. Through the original sin of Adam and Eve, Man is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. Otherwise he is totally incapable of returning to God in himself. He is lost without hope, apart from the salvation of Jesus Christ. (Gen1:26-28; 3:6.20; Rom 5:12 )
SALVATION
Jesus atoning death on the cross, His shed blood and resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus as Lord and saviour by faith are born of the Holy Spirit. Thus become children of God. (Gal 3:13; ICor15:3; Matt 20:28; Act 4:12)
THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:
is an experience distinct and subsequent to the new birth. The evidence of speaking in other tongues follows it. All believers are entitled to and should expect the promise of the father. (Act 2:4, 38, 39:11:15, 16: ICor12:4-11 )
SANCTIFICATION:
is a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the new birth and continuing throughout the life of Christians. ( I Thess. 4:3 )
DIVINE HEALING AND MIRACLES
Full provision has been made for the physical healing and health to one who believes and acts on God’s word. And Jesus is the Healer. Miracles are supernatural works, signs or wonders of the anointing of the Holy Spirit and are possible in the present day. (I Pet 2:24;Ish 53:4,5 : Ex 23:25; Matt 8:16,17; Mark 16:17-20)
WATER BAPTISM AND COMMUNION:
Water baptism by immersion in the name of the son and the Holy Spirit soon after accepting Christ as personal saviour, is a testimony of death to the things of the world and resurrection to a new life. The Lord’s Supper is the regular partaking of the emblem of the bread and the cup as symbolic death of the Lord Jesus Christ. Believers are expressing their communion with Him and one another, celebrating His resurrection and anticipating His return. (Matt 28:19,Act 2:38,39;16:31-33; ICor11:23-32)
THE CHURCH:
is the whole company of all believers who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head. The church is the of Christ whose task is to take the Gospel to all men in all nations, and to make them disciples.( Matt 16:16-19: 28:19 : Eph 4:3-6 : Heb 12:23)
THE RETURN OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST:
the personal, imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is our hope. (Act 1:11; Rev 22:20 )
